Madison Stitch didn’t start in some boardroom brainstorm; it was born in the trenches. In the spring of 2020, with the world upside down, John Pryor found himself in his Madison Flitch furniture studio, watching the whole world shut down. Looking for a way to keep the lights on, he started stitching face masks. What he expected to be a few dozen orders turned into a wildfire — over 50,000 masks made, sold, and donated to hospitals and anyone who needed them.

To keep up with demand, John tapped into the real spirit of American resilience, teaming up with stitchers from all walks of life, including refugee artisans from Myanmar and Afghanistan who knew how to craft quality by hand. These were folks who understood the power of a needle and thread, who rose from the margins to keep the city’s hospitals supplied when supplies ran dry.

Today, Madison Stitch has evolved far beyond masks. We’re crafting bags and hand-stitched leather goods, giving these artisans a platform to showcase their designs, their skill, and their story. This isn’t just a brand; it’s a testament to grit, craftsmanship, and the people who make things the hard way, by hand.
